Snuffy Smith Bridges are Back!
Snuffy Smith Banjo Bridges are available again! Sadly Snuffy Smith passed away in April of 2012 and we thought we lost his bridges forever. To the rescue, well known banjo bridge builder Mike Smith has purchased the line from Snuffy's widow and is producing them in the same way. He bought loads of the wood that Snuffy had stored up and has access to all the same supplies and design now. I've always liked these bridges and have had so many requests by banjo players hoping that I had some left and much to my happiness I can offer them again. One of the features that I liked about the Snuffy Smith bridges was the compensated G bridge that Snuffy came up with and I am carrying that one as well. The G string on a banjo is inherently sharp and this slight notch on the third string sets the 3rd string back on the bridge ever so slightly without affecting the tone in anyway. This is a fantastic innovation and great way to compensate without losing anything in performance. Thanks, Ross Nickerson

Added a Snuffy Smith Bridge to Recording King R 35
Hi Ross, I have to say the bridge and my rk-35 are a very good match. It brought up the volume, but most of all it give it a really nice sound, even the guys in the band noticed. Thank you very kindly Sir for your help!
My Snuffy Smith style banjo bridge arrived Saturday the 31st. I used it to replace the original bridge that came with my Johnson JB-110, as the sound was getting "muddy". I cannot believe that just a bridge makes that much difference in the sound of a banjo. I did a setup with the original bridge and still wasn't satisfied with the sound. I switched bridges and WOW. .
