Do I have to become a member to make purchases?
You do not have to become a member of the members only site to make purchases or browse anywhere on the BanjoTeacher.com website. BanjoTeacher.com works like any E-commerce site and is not exclusive to members only.

Becoming a member of the Banjoteacher.com Members Only Site entitles you access to the lessons, tabs, videos offered to members free, also a 25% discount on all Ross Nickerson instructional materials and access to our monthly sales items all year. If you purchase a membership at the same time as instructional materials the 25% discount will be processed manually after purchase and refunded to your credit card. You can also earn a free membership with any banjo purchase or purchases of over 100.00.

If I join at the same time I buy instructional Books, DVDs, CDs, or Online Lessons do I still get the 25% off?

Do I use my members only username and password to make purchases?
NO / The members only site is in a separate password protected part of BanjoTeacher.com and is not to part of the shopping cart account or any separately purchased Online Lessons. The username for the shopping cart area is your email address and a password you created. The members only site username is your last name and first name like this doejohn and a password we emailed you.
If you purchased Online Lessons they are accessed with the link username and password you received when you purchased, NOT thru the members site. They have different material.

How does the 25% discount work?
All instructional items like Books, CDs, DVDs, E-Books, CD Roms and Online Lessons can be purchased by members with a coupon code and receive 25% off. You can get the coupon code afer you log in or in the email you receive when you join. If you want to use your discount right away and buy other instructional items with your membership, we will calcualte the 25% off manually and process a refund for the 25% discount. The shopping cart does not calculate the amount of purchase and automatically issue the log in details but we get right to it. You'll receive an email with your log in details shortly after ordering.
Banjos and accessories are already discounted but I do have some accessories on the members discounts page like tuners and capos on sale for members at lower prices with the discount already figured in to the price. We have added a new discount feature for members. Each month we have been adding a new monthly sale item to the members discounts page. Most of these items do not require the coupon code to receive the discount, the discount is already figured into the price. The Coupon code is primarily used on the non members site to receive 25% off all instructional materials. Look to see if there is a NO PROMO CODE NEEDED notice written near or underneath the item.

Is the members site the same as Online Lessons?
The members only site and the Online Lessons section of BanjoTeacher.com are in separate protected areas of Banjoteacher.com. They have much different content and a different format. If you have purchased Online Lessons you will not be able access them by loggin in to the members site or conversely access the Members site with an Online Lessons Password. Be sure to save your log in details when joining.
How do I get a free membership?
All purchases over $100 receive a free one year membership to BanjoTeacher.com. The Banjoteacher.com Members Only Site normally costs 24.95 to join for one year

Trouble Making Purchases or Renewing?
When you are in the shopping cart area, Your members only site user name and password does not work for the shopping cart account. The shopping cart account is a separate thing. When you set up an account in the shopping cart area, its automated software that stores your address etc to make it easier to order a second time. You could either set up an account there or bypass it when making purchases, but bottom line is, do not use your members only site username and password when making purchases, just the coupon code is needed for your instruction item discounts. Discounts on selected accessories along with special items on sale each month, Special "Ask the Banjo Teacher" Columns, Banjo Encyclopedia Tips/Videos and Miscellaneous Tabs, Licks, Video Lessons and Performance videos and Mp 3's you can download and keep.
