Ross has been helping banjo students of all levels and backgrounds with private banjo lessons and seminars for 40 years. He has held group workshops in the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia.
Ross Nickerson's Banjo Camps and workshops focus on learning to play banjo by ear, jamming with others, learning more about using chords and chord progressions, basic improvising and learning to play without tablature.
Ross specializes in breaking down the many common obstacles unique to learning 5-string bluegrass banjo into simple, practical terms. Ross really takes aim at the subjects that are hard to learn from books and private lessons. No matter how comprehensive the book or private lessons may be, Ross's experience traveling teaching workshops has taught him the missing links in the banjo learning process and he does not waste any time taking them on for you.
