It's an amazing instrument. Basically a more refined version of the ResNick Resophonic because instead of having a Circular Body like a Traditional Banjo, it has a Cutaway Resonator Guitar Body which I find to be useful so that way the instrument wouldn't slide around when I'm holding it in my Lap. Like the ResNick Resophonic Banjo (I often describe the Dojo as a Gold Tone ResNick because of its function), the Resonator Cone gives it a very bluesy sound & w/ a Guitar Slide, it makes the instrument sound a bit more like the Human Voice.

If you try to play gospel music on it, ya better have some Kleenex handy. This instrument handles gospel so beautifully, it makes your eyes water. Hammer ons and pull offs sound almost magical. I may have a hard time picking up my regular banjo after playing this beauty. Will the circle be unbroken and Palms of victory sounds absolutely fantastic on this instrument. Old western songs sound great too !

First off, the instrument is absolutely beautiful and plays like a dream. The sound is amazing. Not as bright as a traditional banjo but has a wonderful "growl" to the sound. I would compare it to the difference between an acoustic guitar and a dobro. I originally got it as an easy way to amplify a banjo, but it has me exploring different sound possibilities that just aren't possible with my regular banjo. A real treat to play. Thanks Ross.

It is a little harder on the action than my old Gibson Mastertone but still fun. My wife likes it because it is softer and not a loud as my banjo. I did plug it in for awhile and really got after it. I am going to show it off at two jams next week. I just have a little practice amp at home and the stereo plug in threw me. Thanks for your very good service, I would use you again.
