Wow, this model is beautiful, it has some great features and a great look too. This one just feels good to play. You would be proud to own this banjo.
It's features include maple neck and body, double coordinator rods, curly maple headstock veneer, Straight Line tailpiece, brass tone ring, 2 way adjustable truss rod, and low action for the beginning banjoist. It also comes standard with planetary tuning pegs. Available as a lefty too.

Great Banjo & Great Dealer
0 of 0 people found the following review helpfulAlthough a very solidly built banjo, it's not overly heavy, weighing in at around 6 pounds. The planetary tuners are great and hold tuning well. Its 24 hooks, dark stained maple, black bound rosewood fretboard and inlays give it a more upscale look and feel. (One minor negative is that it's tension hoop is not notched or channeled. As a result the hooks could slide around if they're not properly tightened - which they should be!) It is certainly suitable for a variety of musical styles. Out of the box, mine was set up for a more typically ringing 'Bluegrass' tone; but raising the tailpiece knocked down some of the trebles and brought up the bass tones. Switching to a Renaissance or Fiberskin head would likely move this instrument deeper into sonic Clawhammer territory (if that's what you want).
You can buy with confidence from Ross. Ross provides terrific customer service, and is very knowledgeable. I greatly appreciated that he was very patient answering my numerous emails making a difficult decision an easier an one for me.
