The Octave Mandolin is tuned one octave lower than a standard mandolin. Octave Mandolins are becoming extremely popular as the main alternative instrument for mandolinists. Our OM-800 includes low action and a thin neck for rapid playing. The curly maple back and sides help promote a punchy tone and the solid spruce top increases sustain. Plays an octave below mandolin.
