I just wanted to let you know my banjo arrived safe and sound and I am very happy with it. I'm especially glad I have a real banjo now before I get any older so i can adjust to the weight difference from my Goodtime 2! I have to play them back-to-back for a closer analysis, but wore myself out playing the OB 150 going through all the songs I know- many multiple times. Even with my untrained ears, the tone ring definitely makes a difference. I will still use my Goodtime with the mute to practice when my wife hits the hay- I think I will stay away from the mute on the OB 150- it just sounds too good to restrict the tone. I think I'm done for awhile with the other online instructors and will be more devoted to your course of study, as I think yours prepares a student better for independent playing instead of just copying what another player is doing.

Love the nut and spikes very well installed. even the bridge was strobed in perfectly. I used to set up guitars, banjos, etc so I'm real picky. Banjo actually plays better than the Gibson RB 250 I used to have and very loud. I look forward to getting back into banjo.

Gold Tone really ought to be bragging about this one. I read Bluegrass Today, subscribe to Bluegrass UnLimited plus other stuff but knew nothing about the OB-150 until I saw your ads, Feeling Low video which showed off the tones I think better than a faster tune, then read a couple of reviews...........
