The Gold Tone OB-3 "The Twanger" is a replica of JD Crowe's 1930's Gibson RB3 banjo he called "The Banger" which featured a no hole brass flathead tone ring, one piece flange, 3 ply maple rim, mahogany neck and slant wall resonator.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpfulI got my banjo less than a week upon order and the setup was great. I played it right out of the box, and it sounds excellent. It was extremely well packed, with the free zero glide nut/railroad spikes installed nicely.
My banjo teacher even compared it to his Gibson RB-3 and told me that the only reason why I would need to upgrade to a better banjo would be to get the real thing.
