Do not put your trust in a big box dealer that guarantees the best prices but can't beat ours or what we include and has no expertise in banjo to help you with.

Having been involved with playing and teaching banjo for forty years I know first hand that most of the beginner banjos you see available today were created in response to the "raising of the bar" and market craze that Wayne Rogers of Gold Tone Banjos had a very large hand in creating. He came out with a beginner banjo Cripple Creek CC 100R in roughly 2001 that had double truss rods, geared pegs, sounded great and played with perfect intonation for under $300. That was unheard of.  Several years after that the competition responded and began trying to measure up. I could go on but you won't find a more dedicated inspired staff of hard working folks than you'll find at Gold Tone Banjos. Wayne has made banjos with all the best features and designs in reach and affordable while raising the standards industry wide.
