The Morgan Monroe MB-9 Duelington Deluxe is a bluegrass 5-string banjo with a flat head tone ring that produces great tone at an affordable price. Most or all banjos in this price range only feature the old Gibson RB-100 hoop design tonering but the MB-9 has the Gibson Mastertone RB-250 design flathead tone ring. Morgan Monroe has always designed good looking good sounding banjos and the MB-9 is no exception.

Morgan Monroe MB 9 Duelington Banjo Video I visited Morgan Monroe and filmed this video on 11-11-16. I was in Indianapolis doing a workshop at Arthur's Music so I stopped by. The video was filmed by my long time Rep since 2003 at Morgan Monroe Mike Schwab. He did a good job using my IPhone!
I'm playing a song I wrote called "Feeling Low".
I did another video,I was having fun picking and glad to be out of the office. This is a song I made up that I am just drawing a blank on a name so I called it "Wahoo" because inside that's what I feel like while I play it. It's more of a happy but laid back Wahoo feeling, rather than a rip roaring Jack Daniels "Wahoo" though. That would be more of a WaaaaaaHooooooooooooo!

Just wanted to say Thanks Kathy and Banjoteacher crew my MMonroe duelington arrived today in one piece almost in tune. Spike work was good and although its a budget instrument in the grand scheme its my intermediate and I know I'll be able to learn and play it for some years. Action is good, nice sustain and its not a bad looking banjo, nice case. Just wanted to let you know I LOVE my Duellington! I haven't touched my Goodtime II since! It has been relagated to the bedroom for some occasional practice when the mood hits.....The Duellington has such a great tone...it is beautiful and the neck is so nice! I find myself practicing a lot more because it is just a pleasure to to move my hands over it.....thanks to you and Steve for doing such a nice job on the snuffy smith bridge, the 5th string spikes, and the general setup of the banjo.....and the case is AWESOME! I know there may be better banjo's out there, but this one suits me JUST FINE!!!! I love it! Thanks again, William
