Like all of our AC-series banjos, it features a durable and lively-sounding composite rim and resonator for long life and consistent tone. The 5+1 is your standard five string tuning (GDGBD) plus one (low g or gGDGBD). Adventure awaits!

How cool is this, a banjo with a low G string as the 5th string, in addition to the normal high G 5th string, which now becomes a high G 6th string. These are sometimes referred to as LOJOs. Sonny Osborne is the first one I know that came up with this idea. Leave it to Gold Tone to not only make this available, but at an affordable price too.
