This gives new banjo students another option, for those needing just that extra bit of fingerboard, (1 3/8” vs. 1 3/16”…. I have played other instruments in my life and was set on getting a banjo at some point. Where I'm from banjo ain't of much interest and many local stores and folks dont offer much. I heard stellar recommendations from the website and of ross. I must say the service, shipping, and information provided are great. The website is very friendly to newcomers and the banjo you buy is setup with all the necessary components and tools. This model itself is very nice. Very sturdy, solid, well built and fun to play. I would not hesitate to buy from here again and would buy from goldtone again.

If you are getting into playing the banjo... get it and learn it from Ross!

I decided I wanted to try and learn some bluegrass banjo. Cold I googled around and found Ross' website...thank goodness I did. I had questions: called in and Ross himself called me back promptly...he walked me thru and helped me figure out some of the "extras" which would allow me to use my "beginner" Gold Tone CC-100RW for years to come w/out having to modify/upsell (for ex, getting the planetary tuning pegs up front). I also customized some portions of this beginner kit which Ross made happen with no questions asked, even making sure I took advantage of an existing discount on his Platinum lifetime membership he had elsewhere on his website. I really feel Ross gave me a great deal...when the banjo got to my house I took it out and could play it right out of the box as well.

I'm just a month or so into learning from Ross' instruction materials and I'm only memorizing my 2nd roll but I'm loving it. Thanks Ross!
