The tenor banjo first came to prominence in the early 1900's, and its C-G-D-A tuning is especially well suited for folk, Celtic and Dixieland music. The Dirty 30's Tenor Banjo has the same road-ready styling as the rest of the Dirty 30's guitars and banjos. Thanks so much for the help with ordering my Recording king dirty 30s tenor. I was looking for an Irish tenor but something affordable to try a banjo out. I was able to sit down last weekend and start playing it. I bought a Irish tenor banjo tab book and really put some time in. Currently working on learning Swallowtail Jig. I've played guitar for 15 years of so but stopped sometime ago. The banjo reminds me a lot of solos on an electric guitar, especially with the alternate picking and fast triplets. I can see myself upgrading at some point. Fun music and instrument for sure! - Thanks again,
