This 11" Flat Head Brass No-Hole Tone Ring is the engine under the hood of our OB-3 Twanger banjo. One of the most notable features of the 11" Flat Head Brass No-Hole Tone Ring is its ability to produce a tight sustain. Sustain is an essential component of any banjo's sound, and the tight sustain produced by this tone ring is what gives the OB-3 "Twanger" its distinctive twang.
Why the Flat Head? The flat head of the tone ring greatly contributes to the sound quality of the banjo. The flat surface provides a uniform contact point for the banjo head, which helps to ensure consistent tension and improves the overall tonal response of the instrument.
Made of brass with Nickel plating it will fit most Mastertone banjo rims. May require some rim modification for perfect fit.
