It's nice and heavy; retains sustain while significantly reducing volume. I've also noticed two distinct advantages: It's easier to distinguish picking dynamics, where I was picking some strings lighter or heavier, so I can even out my picking; and, I'm able to hear head strikes (even light ones) so I can work on eliminating them. I didn't even know I was doing it.
