Seemed like a perfect combination of elements, Great scenery, warm weather, great food, learning and teaching bluegrass music, and the spouses can come too! A win-win all the way around!

Within the time frame of the 4, 5 or 7 day cruise, you get a full three day workshop and plenty of time to make new friends and relax too.

The food, the scenery, the services, the attention and not only that, I run a darn good workshop.

Can friends or family members go on the cruise?

Yes and they don't have to pay for the workshop, so that expense is saved, and they will have plenty to keep them busy while you are learning more about and improving your banjo playing, it's a big ship too, they can get away a room full of banjo students scares them.

Are there any private lessons given on the Cruise? If so, how much do they costs?

Is this cruise for beginners?

This year we have a separate cruise just for beginner banjo players. click for info We will have a beginner level skill class that will work together the whole cruise. This will be both supportive and educational. The truth is that most students are beginners or beginning, they need the most help. Even though I'm a professional player and teacher, I've taught mostly beginners, they are the ones calling for lessons. I really enjoy working with them to get there goals set, priorities of practice in order and get them off to the best start I possibly can. We will have a separate intermediate level cruise and an all level cruise aboard the Bluegrass Workshops Cruise

What if someone doesn't want to bring their banjo? Will there be any provided on board the ship? You c

.
I've worked out an arrangement with the president of Goldtone Banjos, Wayne Rogers. Last year it seemed that a lot of students were uneasy about flying with their banjos. In case students would prefer not to travel with their banjo this year, students can rent a Goldtone CC-100R or CC 100 Open Back model at the same price, 45.00 for the entire cruise. Email me if you are interested in that.

Is there any time to jam with others on the cruise?

Yes, there will be, we will have both organized jams and informal ones. I have plenty of lounge space reserved for picking and this will be a great opportunity and environment to pick and learn by experience.

Are there any jamming opportunities for real beginners?

This year we have a separate cruise just for beginner banjo players. click for info

I've never been on a cruise, what's that like?

Good food, lots of smiling people and nothing like home!

If I don't have someone coming to room with me are there any arrangements to help me find someone?

Yes, we have a system for matching students coming alone to have a roommate to save costs for them.

Do I need a passport to go on this cruise?

Yes, or a valid original copy birth certificate. Contact the travel agent for a final word on documents needed.

What other things are there to do on the cruise?

I'm not an expert on that, the travel agent can tell you all sorts of things, I know there are many extra events and activities available, massage..I would like that one. They have a lot of stuff to do at the ports we're going to also.
