Gold Tone White Ladye Long Neck Banjo WL-250 LN

The Gold Tone White Layde Long Neck WL-250LN was discontinued by Gold Tone

We have the Gold Tone OT-800LN and the MC-150LN

------------

The Gold Tone White Layde Long Neck Banjo WL-250 LN is perfect long neck banjo alternative for playing Pete Seeger style and you can not beat the price range it is in too. The sound great with the classic verga style white layde tone ring and give you all the options of playing a long neck tuned to the Open E tuning.

This model is per request of many "folkies" and dealers for a pro, great sounding long neck. Specs are equal to our WL-250 and includes the extra length. The fingerboard scoop is not used on the long neck.

Our premier open back banjo has remarkable tone and exquisite cosmetics. A White Ladye tone ring combined with a thin maple rim provides ample volume and a wonderful plunky tone.

This is the best replica of the old vega long necks played by Pete Seeger and Dave Guard of the Kingston Trio

Banjos come set up and ready to play
Each banjo is played before it leaves the shop!
Along with the strict quality control that Goldtone is known for and the banjos being checked very carefully before being shipped, each banjo is given a 12 point inspection, full head tuning, setup and will arrive tuned and ready to play

On a Long Neck Banjo, the 5th string peg is actually located at the 8th fret, not the 5th fret, and tuned to E not G.

This makes the most common frets for capo spikes on a long neck: 11 for the key of G, 13 for A and 15 for B. Since the long neck is positioned at the 8th fret and tuned to E, it's up 3 for G, up 5 for A, up 7 for B.

Even though I prefer or normally recommend the capo spikes over the 5th string sliding capo on a standard length 5-string banjo, the sliding 5th string capos can be pretty practical on a long neck, you can put that anywhere for any key or tuning configuration. We can install those too.

Both are listed in the options below.

Our most popular openback ever! The design provides a plunky but punchy tone well-suited for old timey and folk music. A White Ladye three part tone ring is coupled with a 1/2" rim. Most competitors use a common 3/4" bluegrass rim and our 1/2" rim provides more air chamber volume.
Other features include ebony fingerboard, vintage cut heel, no-knot tailpiece, and double adjusting truss rod.

Features include ebony fingerboard, cloud position markers, vine headstock inlay, Straight Line tailpiece, reversible two way truss rod, body and neck binding, maple neck and double coordinator rods finished in a rich mahogany lacquer.

Hi Ross, This is the 2nd banjo I've ordered from you, and the second time I'm glad I did. Although The Longneck White Ladye is not listed on your sight, I called you, Got a price and two days later called on the phone and got it. The price was super, and the banjo is terrific! I hope your business continues to flourish.
